Erciyes University creates privileges and opportunities for students with its researches carried out within the university besides providing the doctoral education with several programs. During the period of study, the doctoral students can make benefit of several grants and supports within the research activities which are carried out by projects and the collaboration with industry. Studies are being carried out by Erciyes University in order to make benefit of current supports and grants more efficiently.

There is an education opportunity in many graduate programs within the seven institutes at Erciyes University. 1-TÜBİTAK 2244 Industry Doctoral Program

Within the 2023 aims of Turkey, training of qualified human resource with doctoral degree which is needed in industry through university-industry collaboration, promote to employment of doctoral degree researchers in industry and development of the collaboration between university/research substructure and industry. In this program, which aims to employ more researchers with PhD degree in the private sector, TÜBİTAK has stated that grants support for doctoral students and employment support for private sector business will be provided. Within the program, partial grant will be given to the insured doctoral students and full grant will be given to non-working doctoral students.
According to TÜBİTAK’s announcement, the 2244 Industry Doctoral Program is carrying out in order to provide employment support to businesses and to train qualified doctoral degree labor resource needed in industry.
When stating the Industry Doctoral Program will be carried out in the frame of two different collaboration models which include universities and private sector businesses, in the appeal text this models are defined like this:
1. University-Industry Collaboration Model: Joint projects which a university / research substructure and a private sector business are coming together in
2. Before Competition University-Industry Collaboration Model: Joint projects which a university / research substructure and at least two private sector businesses are coming together in
Grant for The Doctoral Students:
Full Grant: 4500 ₺ / per month, Partial Grant: 800 ₺ / per month
Grant Duration: Up to 5 years
Bonus to Universities for The Project Incentives:
To the Project Director: 600 ₺ / per month
To the Academic Advisors: 300 ₺ / per month
Employment Support to Private Sector Business:
Employment Support at the rate of 40% - 60% after the graduation of scholarship holder (Max 3 years)
According to TÜBİTAK’s announcement
• The state or foundation higher education institutions which are providing doctoral education in domestic and research substructures which has been qualified under the law no. 6550 can apply with the collaboration with private sector businesses.
• The private sector businesses, the equity companies which are within technoparks or R&D / design centers within the scope of the law no 5746 can be included in the project.

Higher Education Board of Turkey (YÖK) 100/200 Doctorate Grant Program

The program is giving grant from Higher Education Board to the doctoral students in state universities on the purpose of meet the doctoral human resource needs in preferred fields of our country. For our country, increasing of academic studies in preferred fields will contribute to academic ecosystem highly.
For applying to 100/2000 YÖK Doctorate Grant Program, the following conditions are required from the students.
• To be a citizen of Republic of Turkey.
• To have a master's degree for PhD program. To have a bachelor degree for joint PhD.
• To have the application and admission qualifications determined by the Regulation of Graduate Education and the higher education institution to be applied.
• To not to work as a instructor staff in the state or foundation higher education institutions and to not to work in positions of public institutions and organizations.
• If the doctorate education in the state higher education institution is still going on, not to be in the stage of thesis.
(1) Amount of monthly grant to be given within the scope of 100/2000 Doctorate Grant Program will be determined by the executive committee of YÖK, in a way not to exceed 50% incremental amount of monthly grant paid to doctoral students, according to 5102 number of law with 3/3/2004 date Granting Scholarship Credits to Higher Education Students
(2) Higher education institutions evaluate the applications of the candidates according to their own conditions. As a result of the evaluation, the list of the students who are eligible for doctorate education and who have completed the registration is notified to the YÖK by the Rectorate.
(3) In the case that students who are employed in any job are evaluated within the scope of the program, except as identified in paragraph (ç) of item 6th, the amount of the grant which is to be given to these students, is determined by the executive committee of YÖK, in a way not to exceed 1/3 of the scholarship amount to be given to non-working students.
(4) After the lists (student name / surname, institute and program, level, etc.) that are notified to Higher Education Council by YÖK are examined by the relevant commission, the amount of grant which is approved by YÖK Executive Committee, is transferred to the relevant higher education institution’s account in six-month periods to be paid to the students.
(5) The amount of the grant transferred is paid to the scholarship students between the 1st and 10th day of every month.
(6) The grants are paid for maximum four years for doctoral students and for maximum five years for integrated doctoral students.
(7) The grants are paid to students for a period of twelve months following the month in which they begin their education.
(8) Students are required to continue their education without interruption during their grant period. The grants are not paid to the students who freeze their registration. But this period is added to the grant period of the students who freeze their registration due to imperative reasons.
(9) Grant students can also benefit from the programs within the framework of academic exchange programs (Mevlana, Farabi, Erasmus + etc.) and their grants continue during this period.

Within the scope of the studies carried out with the Presidency of Higher Education Council, TÜBİTAK 2211 - Domestic Graduate Grant Program has been opened by TÜBİTAK to the YÖK 100/2000 grants students for the support of successful students studying at the doctorate program and in line with the aim of increasing the number of human resources with doctorate degree in our country.
Within the scope of this appeal, YÖK 100/2000 grant students who fulfill at least two of the success criteria defined by TÜBİTAK and exceed the support threshold score to be determined during the evaluation of applications will have the opportunity to receive double grants and the grant payments will be completed by TÜBİTAK for 4,500 ₺ per month. The success criteria which are defined by TÜBİTAK are listed below:
1. The article which is published in TÜBİTAK academic journals,
2. The article which is published in journals which are scanned by SCI, SCI-Expanded, SSCI or AHCI,
3. The article which is published in journals which are scanned by international indexes,
4. The scientific article which is published in journals ULAKİM TR,
5. Verbal notice which is presented at scientific meetings and published in full text,
6. To be a part of a project as BİDEB scholar and / or ARDEB project scholar for at least 1 year as of the last day of application date.
